The Centre of Dwellings and Communal Statistics mission is to provide comprehensive, professional and objective statistical information in the area of dwelling and municipal economy.

      We execute the mission by means of:

• preparing statistical surveys, the results of which, based on methodological bases, describe the level and dynamics of development of dwelling and municipal infrastructure in certain regions and in the country in an objective way
• using administrative data sources for the needs of monitoring real estate activities
• carrying out publishing activity in the area of the conducted surveys which identifies significant tendencies and structural changes, taking into account cause and effect aspects

    Our strategic objectives are as follows:

• gathering information both from surveys and general censuses in order to describe a current condition of the housing stock and municipal infrastructure in the country
• developing analyses determining trends and factors influencing development of dwelling and municipal economy
• carrying out work on cohesion and adjusting the Polish statistics to international standards
• introducing methodological changes which allow to compare data from different registers and departmental surveys with data from statistical studies
• cooperation with public administration authorities within integration of the process of obtaining data from administrative sources, as well as recognizing possibilities for using new potential sources of information
• harmonisation of methodology, classification and information standards within integration of the statistical surveys with the surveys carried out by certain departments
