Lublin Centre for Regional Surveys is responsible for developing analyses, publications and aggregated information about the socio-economic and environmental situation of the region, carrying out regional statistical surveys, participating in projects executed by other contractors, making the results of statistical surveys common and available as well as keeping the database of statistical knowledge of the region and promoting public statistics.

MISSION

Mission of the Lublin Centre for Regional Surveys is to form permanent relations between statistics and public authorities – especially administration bodies of local governments and scientific community in the lubelski region.

While executing this mission, the Lublin Centre for Regional Surveys:

• Gathers collections of knowledge describing resources and infrastructure of Lubelszczyzna as well as demographic and socio-economic processes taking place in the region;
• Conducts regional surveys and statistical analyses and recognizes the demand for statistical information of different regional and local communities;
• Develops statistical methods for observation, measurement and analysis of resources, phenomena and processes in order to perfect the statistical information system for the needs of regional policy;
• Provides information in order to support the state and local government authorities, science and education institutions, social organizations and business entities operating in lubelskie voivodship;
• Popularizes statistical knowledge of the lubelski region and Polish-Belarussian-Ukrainian borderland.

The unit is the regional centre for informative, analytical and methodical statistical knowledge. Thanks to the Centre activity, it will be possible to intensify and amend cooperation between the Statistical Office in Lublin and different communities of Lubelszczyzna, especially in case of local government authorities and local governmental administration bodies as well as scientific and academic centres.
