The publication "Polish-Ukrainian borderland in figures in 2006" belongs to a series of volumes published by the Lublin Statistical Office that deal with the problems of the Polish-Ukrainian borderland. It is the response of our Office to increasing demands from users of statistical data for information on administrative units of the Polish-Ukrainian borderland. It is addressed both to representatives of Polish and Ukrainian local governments and to national agencies, as well as non-governmental organizations on both sides of the border. It may help them e.g. in drawing up documentation regarding the developmental strategy for Polish-Ukrainian border areas. The publication contains mainly data from the fields of demography, economy and the labour market. Some of the information has been presented in a review of poviats and rejons, as well as visualised in the form of graphs.
