In order to meet the expectations of statistical information users, the Statistical Office in Lublin has prepared a comprehensive publication presenting housing economy in the Lubelskie voivodship. This survey shows the determinants and consequences of changes in dwelling stock with a particular focus on the problem of dwelling stock privatisation, land for housing construction transferred to investors as well as land remaining part of gmina resources, dwellings completed, dwelling renovation, modernisation and maintenance costs. Changes in housing conditions have also been analysed in terms of dwelling occupancy levels, availability of utility systems, arrears in payments, eviction measures and housing allowances. The basis of this publication is an examination of public statistical data from 1998 to 2009 for the Lubelskie voivodship by type of dwelling ownership, by subregion and by poviat against the backdrop of other voivodships in Poland.
